Arrival in Mikumi
Mikumi National Park
Travel by SGR train from Dar es Salaam to Morogoro, then continue by private car into Mikumi National Park, stopping along the way for lunch and a look around town. Before dinner, visit a Maasai boma to learn about the community living alongside the park. Overnight at Camp Bastian.

Full-Day Safari in Mikumi
Mikumi National Park
Spend the whole day exploring Mikumi National Park with a professional English-speaking guide in a private 4x4. Return to camp for dinner and a second night.

Half-Day Safari and Chizua Waterfall
Mikumi National Park
Spend the morning on a final game drive in Mikumi, then head out in the afternoon to Chizua Waterfall for a hike through the surrounding hills. Drive back to camp for dinner and your last night in Mikumi.

Mikumi to Zanzibar by Rail and Sea
Zanzibar
After breakfast, travel by SGR train back to Dar es Salaam, then board the ferry across to Zanzibar. Spend the afternoon on a historical tour of Stone Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site shaped by Swahili, Arab, and European trade. Dinner and overnight stay at Tembo House Hotel.

North to Nungwi
Zanzibar
Travel north to Nungwi, stopping at a spice plantation to see, smell, and taste the cloves, cinnamon, and vanilla that built Zanzibar's early trade economy. In the afternoon, visit Cheetah's Rock, a rescue and rehabilitation centre for animals from across East Africa. Dinner and overnight stay at a Zanzibari boutique hotel.

Islands and Reefs
Zanzibar
Take a boat out to Nakupenda, a sandbank that disappears and reappears with the tide, for a half-day beach escape. In the afternoon, snorkel the reefs around Mnemba Island, home to some of the clearest water on the East African coast. Dinner and overnight stay in Zanzibar.

Departure Destination
Take the ferry back to Dar es Salaam, where your safari and beach holiday comes to an end.
