Arrival and a Maasai Welcome
Mikumi National Park
Travel by SGR train from Dar es Salaam to Morogoro, then continue by private vehicle into Mikumi National Park. Before dinner, visit a Maasai boma to learn how the community lives alongside the wildlife around it. Settle in for the night at Camp Bastian.
Accommodation is subject to availability; an alternative camp of equal standard will be offered if needed.

A Full Day Among the Big Five
Mikumi National Park
Spend the whole day on safari inside Mikumi National Park, where open plains make for some of the easiest game viewing in southern Tanzania. Watch for lion, elephant, buffalo, giraffe, and the park's notably wide variety of antelope. Lunch is taken inside the park so you don't lose a minute of daylight.

Homeward by Rail
After breakfast, drive back to Morogoro and board the SGR express for the 90-minute return journey to Dar es Salaam.
