Sunrise to Sunset: Dar es Salaam to Mikumi and Back
Mikumi National Park
Description: Your day starts before the city wakes. Board the SGR express in Dar es Salaam for the scenic 90-minute ride to Morogoro, then continue by private vehicle into Mikumi National Park. Spend the late morning and afternoon on game drives across open plains that mirror the Serengeti. Look for elephant, giraffe, zebra, and the park's resident lion prides, then stop for lunch inside the park. By evening, you're back on the train, watching the Uluguru Mountains fade behind you on the return trip to Dar es Salaam.
